The process of selecting the items was made by drawing a conceptual map, which led us after several exchanges to focus on the ten which suited the best the ongoing situation about Patrick Zaki’s detention.
Then we drew an Entity-Relationship model to represent the relationship between these items.

The detention is the focus of the project and therefore at the center of the model. The political context which led to this event was fundamental for us, therefore the upper left part of the model focuses on al-Sisi's government and the dramatic precedent of Giulio Regeni’s murder. On the right part we concentrated on the Tora prison, treating the building itself as a key item along with a report for further understanding of the place where Zaki is being held captive. The bottom left is devoted to artworks, demonstrating the international mobilization and involvment in this affair, also on social media. The bottom right part focuses on who is Patrick Zaki, as a human rights activist and student.
